I have noticed that my 8 year son almost 9 fidgets more than usual. Not sure what this is a sign of but it happens when he eats, when he watches TV or when he is simply sitting still. He touches his face, cracks his knuckles and he has a peculiar way of swallowing. Could this be lack of exercise? Because of COVID and homeschool, his activity level is less than it was.

Yes, fidgeting could be a sign that they’re trying to create more stimulation — a need that exercise used to fill. Would it be possible to build more exercise into your schedule now that the weather is nicer and school will be over soon? Then you can test this theory!
