You love your child. But their big reactions

(and other drama) drive you crazy.

And you know you don’t handle their drama well… Often what you do — yell, threaten, send them away– only makes the situation worse.

But you’re not sure what to do INSTEAD.

And you feel helpless because:

Z

Your child goes from 0 to 60 in one second flat

Sometimes you can tell what triggered it, but sometimes their big behaviors seem to happen out of the blue!

Z

You've tried so many other strategies

You’ve seen some short-term progress, but nothing seems to last for more than a week or two.

Z

You've spent countless nights worrying about them

You fear how their big responses and big emotions will affect their future friendships and relationships… and how your child will ever learn to handle the fact that life isn’t always going to go their way.

It is possible to shift your response to their big emotions so that

situations become more calm more quickly

And then you can finally…

Stop walking on eggshells whenever you notice that they’re in a “mood”

Know exactly how to respond when your child isn’t handling things well

Go through a day without their emotions impacting everyone in the family

Know what to say when you hear complaints and negativity about… so many things

Have more time & energy because you didn’t spend all of it managing their emotions

I’m Rachel Bailey, Parenting Specialist (and former therapist)

who has been supporting parents for over a decade.

Although I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and have served many roles in the field of psychology (ADHD Coach, Academic Coach, in-home mentor, psychotherapist), my passion has always been helping families reduce the drama in their homes.

That’s because not only have I helped hundreds of parents of foster resilience in their dramatic, sensitive, kids … but I’m also raising a highly emotional (anxious, sensitive) child myself. I know what it’s like to not only feel exhausted worrying about and managing their responses on a daily basis… but also to spend much mental energy worrying about their future and whether they’ll be able to handle life.

I also know that the way we naturally respond to their big emotions and try to foster resilience… doesn’t work. And I know what to do differently. And if I know that if I didn’t have these tools, things would be much worse.

I want to share the strategies that have made such a big difference not only in my home, but in the homes of all of the families I’ve supported over the years.

Introducing: “Long Game Tools for Responding Effectively to Big Emotions”

A 4-Week Take-Action Program to Help You Transform the Dynamic in Your Home

What you’ve tried hasn’t worked. At least not in the long run.

Within the first 10 minutes of this class, you’ll find out why these strategies fail… and then you’ll learn a step-by-step process for responding in a way that reduces the negativity, drama, and reactivity in your home.

But… this class is not just about learning new INFORMATION. (You’ve already read books and blogs and have a lot of information swimming around in your head.)

It’s about practicing and mastering a process so that you can take action and see results.

In this uniquely-structured class, I will not only will I teach you the process, but I will give you the tools you need to feel successful at each step. We will practice these tools together and you will take action on them each week.

I have created this class with to allow you to TRULY experience a shift in how you think about and respond to your child’s behavior — using hands-on exercises to help you understand your current reactions so that responding to them in a new way becomes natural and intuitive.

It’s time that you finally experience some peace of mind. It’s time to go from feeling helpless, depleted, and concerned… to feeling confident and in control.

By the end of the class, you’ll see your children differently,

respond to their drama differently, and feel a different (more positive) energy in your home

For 4 weeks I will guide you through my proven process and teach you how to…

Respond to your child — exactly what to say and do — when they’re in the middle of a big emotion or big behavior.

Address your own obstacles so that you don’t get sucked into their drama.

Incorporate the strategies into your (busy!) life and finally see results that last.

This program is structured so that you can effectively reduce the fighting, worrying, and exhaustion for good.

Are you ready to learn how to deal with the big emotions and reduce the drama?

THE PROCESS

What We’ll Cover Over 4 Weeks

Z

Week 1 - Reduce the power of your triggers

You’ll learn how to identify your triggeres, where they come from, and how to make sure they don’t control you. This means that you’ll start to respond from your VALUES rather than your Yuck.

ONE TOOL WE’LL WORK ON TOGETHER: Build your “Parenting Avatar”

Z

Week 2 - Learn what's REALLY going on for your child

We’ll discuss why, from a scientific perspective, your child is reacting the way they are… so that you can start to see their behavior differently and respond more effectively to what’s REALLY going on.

ONE TOOL WE’LL WORK ON TOGETHER: Shift from useful to non-useful thoughts

Z

Week 3 - Create Your Script

I’ll teach you how to create an effective script that you can use ANY time your child has a big emotion. No more wondering what to say and to do de-escalate the situation! You can feel in control, no matter what your child is doing.

ONE TOOL WE’LL WORK ON TOGETHER: Make your personal “to-don’t” list

Z

Week 4 - Reduce the drama to begin with

At this point, you’ll know exactly how to respond to your child’s big emotions. But this week we’ll focus on how to reduce some of the big emotions to begin with. Who doesn’t want to save a little energy?!

ONE TOOL WE’LL WORK ON TOGETHER: Create a plan to proactively reduce YOUR Yuck

Since we’ve taken Rachel’s class, it is so much calmer in our home now. And it’s not just because my son knows how to handle things better… The whole family knows how to handle them better too.

The meltdowns in our house were happening all the time. We felt like they controlled our lives. Now we know how to prevent them… and how to deal with the (few) that happen from time to time. I can’t tell you how much of a relief that is!

For parents of what age range is this class appropriate?

This class is appropriate for parents and caregivers for children ages 2 – 12*.

There are two sections of the class (parents of children age 2-6, parents of children age 7-12) so that you can participate with other parents whose children are similar in age to yours.

What is the time commitment for this class?

I know you’re busy. Every single activity was created specifically with the goal of saving you time and energy by teaching you how to create a more positive dynamic in your home.
Realistically, your commitment for the 4 weeks of the class is about 1 1/2 hours per week (including the 1-hour live session) over a few different interactive activities.
Each week you will:

  • Receive a 20-minute (or so) video lesson + note-taking workbook
  • Participate in a 60-minute live class (or watch the replay if necessary… but honestly, I’m told by other parents that participating in the class was what changed EVERYTHING for them!)
  • Be assigned homework that takes about 10 minutes to complete.
What if I don't finish all the materials in the 4 weeks?
While the class was created so that most of the transformation happens “live,” you will have access to the resources and replays forever. That means you can complete it in your own time and refer back to it whenever needed.
What's included with my class investment?

For $450, you receive resources and support that is worth $1400

  • 4 video lessons + interactive worksheets
  • 4 60-minute live, intearctive sessions and replays
  • 4 homework assignments (with individual, private feedback provided if handed in by a certain time)
  • Access to the materials so that you can refer back to them after the class is over
What if I can't join the live calls?
Of course things come up in life! While I highly encourage you to make as many of the live sessions as possible, you will always have access to the replays of any session that you may have to miss. You’ll have lifetime access to all materials.
What if I don't want to be part of a group?

It’s not uncommon for people to initially feel hesitant about joining a group. However, once parents join a group they understand the tremendous benefit. And after having helped over 1,000 families, again and again I see more progress with people who join a group rather than receiving individual support. Here’s why:

  • You receive the same step-by-step process you need to reduce the drama in your home as you would if we were working one-on-one
  • You feel less alone. You realize, with relief, that others are struggling with the same problems you are
  • You can be open and honest about what parenting is really like. In the classes I teach, I am honest about my imperfections… which often motivates others to be genuine as well. And hearing that others don’t live the “Facebook/Instagram life” — where families are happy and smiling all the time — can, in itself, help reduce our stress
  • You learn from others. Although I have lots of tips to offer, other parents also add value with suggestions for what has worked for them

What if now's not a good time? Can I join this class later?

If I offer a class on this topic again, it would not be until late 2021.
However, I encourage you to consider joining now because kids’ big emotions don’t tend to decrease on their own. Relationships — and kids’ self-esteem — can also deteriorate the longer that these issues are not addressed properly. Working on these issues does ultimately SAVE you time… remember too that you’ll have access to this information forever and can implement it as you are able.

Imagine If Two Months From Now…

…The energy in your family is… calmer.

…You know how to

  • offer your child advice or a correction without worrying about causing a meltdown
  • respond when your child does get upset — in a way that supports them but also reduces the duration and intensity of the drama.
  • the simple actions you can take to help them respond more positively when things don’t go their way…even as they get older and obstacles become bigger

…And you feel less depleted because you don’t spend as much much time or energy managing the negativity in your home

It’s Time To Reduce The Drama For Good!

Join me and other parents to master the strategies, tools and techniques that can lead to a calmer household in just 4 weeks – plus keep it that way for the long term..

Honestly, I never would have imagined being able to the things I’m able to do with my kids now … and with barely any resistance and no tantrums. It’s really life-changing!

Instead of dreading time with my kids, I (mostly!) look forward to it now. Because I know how to respond to pretty much anything that happens, so I feel more in control… and so does my daughter.
