Tool for Long-Term Change:

How to Reduce Your Fears and Worries

 1. Write down a worry / fear / concern that you have.

2. Consider what your child needs in the PRESENT to help them.

3. Create a statement of control. That usually means changing from “I have to” or “I need to” to “I can.”

4. Make your “I can” statement into a plan for how you will handle the situation the next times it comes up.
